After several years working on this project, it has finally seen the light. I must admit that it was a challenge returning to work on Blender, but in the end I enjoyed playing with angles and lighting in some of these renders for the promotional images.

One of the last commissions I’ve been working on lately. A contest for students of a school in which the winner is made a t-shirt with their drawing. In this project they send me the child’s illustration and I’m in charge of vectorizing the drawings and adapting them to t-shirt designs with a limit of 4 colors, of course following the client’s guidelines and the colors that are chosen for each one. I really enjoy trying to get the children idea and create it a cute and colorful illustration.

My first commission for a play. I must admit it was challenging to try a completely different style than what I have commonly used, but I also love a challenge and this one helped me experiment with new techniques and ways of working.

Commissioned work by Mark Haskins for a minigame included in his App. This was my first time working on animations for videogames. I had to create sprites for each character for this racing game. In addition to the design of scenarios based on different places and themes, this project helped me a lot to understand how to organize for the creation of a video game. I can’t help but say that every project I work on helps me learn something new.

In this commission, the author wanted to represent in a visual and easy-to-understand way what the children of parents who went to war feel. A somewhat unknown topic for many but unfortunately there are still actually cases. I really enjoyed doing the illustrations, I especially enjoy the analogies between the text and the illustrations.

2D Animation Commercial Commission for Nicked It company. In this commission, I was asked to make a 2D animation based on a classic anime style. This project was made from scratch, counting only with VoiceOver, creating a storyboard, followed by animatic until the final animation. I also had to design the main character, the backgrounds and the mascot design for this brand, which appears at the end of the video. A project that taught me a lot and at the same time I enjoyed creating.

One of the last illustrations commissioned for Bruce Whipple Website. This time I was commissioned this Devil illustration. I really liked the concept that I was asked for this commission. The message is intriguing and the style, although it varies a lot from what I normally do, I had a lot of fun doing it, deep down I must admit that I like to make disturbing images from time to time.

Chibi portraits and designs for Chaserz Emporium. Very happy with this client, her requests have always been clear and therefore it has not been difficult for me to understand what she was looking for. Also, I have always enjoyed the Chibi style in common and making these cute and colorful illustrations was very satisfying.

Leaving a bit of the chibi design, this was one of the designs that I most enjoyed creating for her, besides that I love the detail in digital painting, creating an illustration in different angles was a great challenge that was satisfying to achieve.

An interesting story behind this commission. After going to Tec High School here in Colima to offer my services as a teacher, and since it was not feasible due some bureaucratic issues, the director of the school really liked my portfolio, so he soon asked me for an illustration for the School. They asked me for a full map of the campus but very colorful and easy to understand. It was tricky because I had to build on their infrastructure and give it some perspective. But at the end, I like the final result.

Many of the employees decided diferent styles and in the end there was a very curious potpourri of styles and characters.
